
The Auburn Community Concert Band is pleased to announce a new scholarship opportunity for one graduating senior in the greater central Maine area. As part of the ACCB’s 31st summer season, the Auburn Community Concert Band will award a $500.00 scholarship to a member of the Class of 2012 who has a passion for music.
To apply, interested applicants must complete the necessary information and provide our selection committee with a letter of recommendation from a music instructor or other teacher, and a brief 250-word essay outline their passion for music and how they intend to share that passion with others.
Requirements:
- Attending a 2- or 4-year college, university, technical school or music conservatory in Fall 2012
- In good standing with the high school and all of its departments
- A grade average of 82 or better for three years

The Auburn Community Concert Band will notify the recipient and formally present the award letter at an Auburn Community Concert Band performance this summer. The letter will include instructions to the student regarding next steps and the additional information that will be needed by Auburn Community Concert Band in order to fulfill the scholarship grant.
This summer marks the 31st year that the 45-member Auburn Community Concert Band has shared their love and passion for music with Androscoggin County. The ACCB is pleased to offer this scholarship to ensure the next generation will continue that legacy. |
