Conductor and Director Milt Simon first organized the community band during the winter of 1981.Today, the organization averages 50 volunteer musicians (actual number varies from season to season) ranging in age from their teens to their 80's. Band members reside in many different cities and towns, representing approximately 14 central and southern Maine communities.
