Conductor and Director Milt Simon first organized the community band during the winter of 1981. Today, the organization averages 45 volunteer musicians (actual number varies from season to season) ranging in age from their mid-teens to their 80's. This year's band members reside in and represent 16 central, southern and western Maine communities!
